Ralph the Twinsburg Turkey: Community mourns loss of ‘beloved feathered friend’

TWINSBURG, Ohio (WOIO) - Four months after Ralph the Twinsburg Turkey strutted into the city and the hearts of the community, he crossed Gobble Gobble Lane over to the Rainbow Bridge.

The Twinsburg Police Association shared the saddening news about the the town’s unofficial mascot on Sept. 20:

Dear Twinsburg Residents,
We hope this post finds you well, although we know that today is a difficult day for all of us who had the pleasure of knowing Ralph, the magnificent turkey that brought so much joy to our daily lives. It is with a heavy heart that we write to express our deepest condolences for the loss of our beloved feathered friend.
Ralph was more than just a turkey; he was a symbol of resilience, beauty, and charm. Every morning, as we made our way through the bustling traffic of Twinsburg, his regal presence brought a smile to our faces and reminded us to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. His grace and confidence were unparalleled, making him an adorned animal in the truest sense of the word.
Whether he was strutting across the road as if it were his own personal runway or engaging in amusing interactions with passersby, Ralph’s magnetic personality was impossible to ignore. He became a cherished member of our community, and his absence will undoubtedly be felt by all who had the privilege of witnessing his daily adventures.
