Leah Doherty

Leah Doherty joined WOIO 19 News in Cleveland in July 2023.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Leah comes to Ohio after working for WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin.

During her time in Madison, Leah was able to cover Wisconsin volleyball’s national championship run, Aaron Rodgers final season as a Green Bay Packer and the Milwaukee Bucks ring ceremony.

Prior to WMTV, Leah got her start in Lubbock, Texas as a sports reporter and weekend anchor. Leah is a proud Texas Tech University graduate, where she got her Bachelor’s in Journalism in 2018.

When she’s not at work you can find her spending time with her dog Benny, hanging out in a local coffee shop, or searching for the best queso in Cleveland. (Please share your recommendations if you have any!)
