Angie Rodriguez joined Cleveland 19 News in Aug. of 2023 as a reporter/multimedia journalist.

She’s from a small town called ‘Cut N Shoot’, about an hour north of Houston, TX.

Angie graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BA in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Multi-Platform Journalism.

While attending SHSU, Angie was very involved with the programs that were offered. She served as the Editor-In-Chief at her school’s newspaper, one of the DJ’s for the school’s radio, and as an anchor/reporter/weathercaster for their television station, Channel 7.

Angie also interned at Fox 26 Houston her senior year, where she was able to gain hands-on experience and work on many important stories alongside other reporters in the industry.

Some of the topics she has covered range from the manhunt of Francisco Oropeza to the issue of gun control among college students, to covering a local animal shelter’s attempt at combating the high population of strays in the community.

Angie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and is excited to experience the nightlife in Cleveland!
