PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Someone living in Northeast Ohio may be a millionaire and not even know it yet!

The Ohio Lottery said someone matched all six numbers in the $5.5 million jackpot drawing on Monday and the ticket was sold at Yorktown Service Plaza in Parma Heights.

Dave Olsen is the night manager at the Pearl Road store. He said lotto sales shot up about 40% on Tuesday.

“It’s been busy, busy, busy,” Olsen said. “There’s been more people with lottery and that’s been all they’ve been coming in for basically lottery and fuel.”

He said ever since the news broke that a $5.5 million ticket was sold right here people have been lining up hoping to get lucky too.

“I just think it’s so cool that it happened in our neighborhood,” said customer Kat Agner.

“I love it, it’s awesome! I live right down the street,” said customer Rachal Trivett. “I was so excited!”

It’s the sixth Classic Lotto jackpot hit this year, but it’s a first at Yorktown.

“Last time we had a lottery winner of November of ‘21, somebody won $500,000, a half a million so as far as this ticket I’m not sure but I think this might be the largest winning jackpot out of this store,” Olsen said.

But the mystery winner has not claimed the cash yet.

“Come in let us know who the winner is we’d be happy to find out the sooner the better,” Olsen said.

The winner has 180 days to claim their prize.
