Macedonia man pleads guilty to multiple sex charges involving children

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 72-year-old Macedonia man plead guilty to several sex charges Tuesday, some involving children, according to the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office.

A release from the prosecutor’s office said that William Lupica Jr. plead guilty to the following charges:

• 2 counts of Rape
• 2 counts of gross sexual imposition
• 2 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor
• 7 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material

According to court documents, the crimes happened between 2018 and 2019.

Lupica Jr.’s wife babysat dozens of kids at their Macedonia home for decades. His wife faces no charges.

The prosecutor’s office said Lupica Jr.’s sentencing will take place Nov. 21.
