CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people are dead following a shooting Sunday on Cleveland’s East Side.

Cleveland Police Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz confirmed the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of E. 67th Street.

This is in the city’s St. Clair Superior neighborhood.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victims as 36-year-old Judith Burks, of Cleveland, and 40-year-old Randy Burks, of Cleveland. Their relation is unknown.

Cleveland Ward 7 Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones confirmed an investigation is currently underway.

“We absolutely need to pray for the family impacted by this senseless tragedy,” Howse-Jones said.

CPD has not specified if there are any persons of interest or if any arrests have been made.
